About us
Our History
Food and Care For All (FCFA)
OUR MISSION
Provide free food/nutrition, health education, and quality healthcare services to vulnerable populations while empowering them to be self-sustaining.
FCFA was founded in 2019 in response to the increasing community and global needs for access to healthier food and equitable medical services. We are currently located in Ellicott City.
We serve marginalized populations in Howard County, Maryland and Sub-Saharan Africa by providing access to food, empowering families to help them end cycles of poverty, and promoting access to quality healthcare services, particularly sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services.
The vision of FCFA: To reduce hunger and health disparities in low-resource settings. Our vision aligns closely with the Sustainable Development Goals on Ending Poverty (SDG1), Zero Hunger: Nutrition and Food Security (SDG2), Good Health and Well-being (SDG3), Gender Equality (SDG5), Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG9), Reduced Inequalities (SDG10), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG17).
FCFA’s mission is to promote food security, health education, and access to quality healthcare services for underserved populations while empowering them to be self-sustaining. But we couldn’t do what we do without the support of the Maryland Food Bank, which provides the food we’re distributing here today.
